Hi guys i can not wind my drivers side window up it just keeps going around. I have tried it with pliers but still no good. Any ideas would be very welcome. I am not sure what parts to buy etc. Cant even pull it up. :-[
Have you taken the door panel off and looked behind at the window regulator ? its a 5 min job to take the panel off
If you have tried it with pliers and it still goes round then it is window mech that is bust, you'll probably need a new one. http://www.justkampers.com/shop/winder-mechanism-offside-right-j11062.html I hate working on the doors but it is a simple if fiddly job.
To elaborate, under the actual handle that winds it up / down there is a toothed cog, it might be a case of the teeth have sheared off and its a simple (level the cover off) uncrew the handle and replace, or, it might be the inner cog which is just worn (its diecast and quite hardy) or, it could be an issue with the regulator, hard to say without starting the taking off process.
