Dripping tap

How do I know what washers I will need for this tap?

 

I doubt there is a washer in there if it’s a quarter turn tap.

 

Water off, take out the fitting & check it, not sure those qtr turn taps use washers but I will probably stand corrected

 

I would say it’s a ceramic insert and that will need replacing if you can find a match that is.

 

Time for a new tap ..... tis the modern way I'm afraid.

Take the body out and potter off to your local plumbers merchant. Replace with a new body. Make sure you also take the handle as the spindles can have different patterns and lengths.

 

Thought this was gonna be about prostate problems!

It’s a rented house so I didn’t mind changing a washer but I’m not forking out for a new tap or inserts.

If buying from crudefix make sure you take the old one and compare it before parting with the cash, as they all look similar in the pics but as said there subtle differences
