any roof will fit any van, depends how big you fancy cutting the hole..... as for whats best, that depends on your use..... storage? sleeping? or just standing up?
i only need it to stand up but still not sure about what style roof i want but i do have the dormobie one
Dormobile gives you the most headroom for standing up. If you fit it so the hole starts just behind the B pillar then it gives you plenty of room to move around in the back of the van and because it goes all the way back to about 3/4's the way over the bed, it helps with climbing in and out of that, too.
i did speak to baybirmingham as i have just found the message that i saved about how to paint the roof as he done his one i will speak to him again
Seem to recall Zed on here put a Dormobile roof on a T2. Just some useless information...Dormobile used the panel van version of the T2 for their conversion hence the very deep rubbers used in the rear windows.
it's not how fast you get there, it's how happy you get there! disclaimer.... apart from if you're me then you get lost and do a tank full of fuel going 70 to try and get to wales before it's dark 'cos you have no main beam. before ploptop says it.
got to admit i do like the way a devon/dormobile roof keeps the profile of the front original unlike the upside down boat look on a westy
