When you arrive at a campsite or show, what is your special meal that you can knock out as quick as possible for all those waiting hungry mouths? (and no Rickyrooo, your pot noodle is tooo special for this )
Not really ... but have very much taken to having jacket spuds cooked on the fire pit ... I cannot 'knock it out quickly' tho .... takes bloody hours
Either a pre prepared chilli con carne with lots of ready cooked garlic bread, or a sausage casserole easily heated up on the gas cooker in 15mins with buttered crusty bread. Nice!

I do a wicked breakfast, .. However I love camping with the HorTs'.. Mrs HorTs always cooks a fantastic meal, usually a Chilli But I'm normally in charge of Rice )
We've taken to making food at home - cooking too much and freezing half of it. Then on the weekend of camping - taking it out of the freezer and letting it defrost over the weekend. Chilli and curry is excellent for this - just add rice
1. Open can of Spam 2. Slice spam 3. Fry Spam 4. Stick Spam between 2 slices of white bread 5. Done ;D
Hots dogs and fairground onions is our quick food after park up nosh - really quick and easy specially if its getting dark We also do the frozen extras food - curry, bring along some onion bhaji and pakoras etc Mrs LMPD
It use to be the Camping Casoulet. A meaty bean dish that gave you wind in the aftermath but for yummyness and quickness its Piedmont Peppers.
Do you remember those meals they used to do cooking on your exhaust manifold etc ,pending on how far your trip was i wonder if you could do a slow cooked stew or goolash on ya heat exchangers?? ready and waiting when you arrived lol. I like to do a stir fry something quick, or steak in french stick with onions salad n tortillas.
