i bought deluxe window seals a while ago and fitted my windows without the chrome inserts in place . i was told that they are fitted afterwards on a bus . i was then told by someone else that the deluxe seals should be fitted to the rubbers before the windows are fitted can anyone tell me the correct answer ? should deluxe window trim be fitted after the windows are in ? or should they be fitted to the rubbers before the window is fitted ?
can do it either way round, i usually fit the trim on the van but a window fitter mate fits to the rubber then fits the whole thing to the van
You need a little wire tool to fit them in mate Ive always been told to fit the window then add the strip later just like doing a panel van side window
all window fitters put the chrome insert in the rubber first ,less chance of damage and easy to work with owen nw
iv bought one of those trim fitting tools online . Il see if I can do it with the windows in and post the results
Have you got the plastic or metal trim? want to get new rubbers for mine, so let me know how much of a pig of job it is to do?
i have the tool as well for doing it its 100 times eassier to do with the windows out and still use the wee tool , owen nw :-X
