Did Vw ever make a tachometer for bay windows! I have one in my 79 that says vdo at the bottom and is a perfect fit.
Not connected at the moment ,I might even sell it

Apologies for a huge absence. I've been focused on other projects and boring work so VW stuff has taken a back seat.
I haven't made a tacho since last year.
The plan has always been to make one last batch of tacho's and this will be it. I'm just not entirely sure when this will happen at this stage.
The people that have kindly sent PM's will have first option to purchase one when this happens. I will be in contact.

Interesting, I've ordered a JK one, they show up to 6,000 rpm, rather than the 7,000 rpm on these gauges, it would be interesting to see them side by side in a comparison picture, but I suppose thats unlikely.

As I have a 4500 rpm rev limiting rotor arm fitted I suppose the point of a rev counter is mute, but I'd rather this than a clock.

The video seems to show a van with a type 4 engine fitted, since getting much beyond 40 mph in 3rd without the engine screaming for the pain to stop is the usual faire for a 1600 like mine.

Doesn't seem to be selling them anymore! Similar are available from VW heritage though I believe.
