Dell 40's banjos

  1. Evenin I have a double banjo with fuel pipe in and fuel pipe to the other carb
    Single banjo.
One of the holes in the double seems like a pin hole is this correct?
Or is this limiting my fuel
    Ta in advance.

  2. That's how mine are

  3. Ta!just checking. It starts and runs just a little tickle needed now.
    Thanks

  4. I know someone who tore their banjo once, very painful

  5. I think the smaller hole was for a fuel return to the tank on Alfas and the like. Really, you need two the same (full) size: I wouldn't go with the one with the teeny hole. Could try drilling it out, or getting one from Eurocarb.

  6. PS Standard setup I believe was 1 x double banjo (wide bore), 1 x double banjo with one wide bore, one narrow bore back to the tank.

I think that's Del's banjo on the wall next to his bedroom door..?

  8. I'm sure my mum had those curtains in the seventies...

  9. Yeah just noticed that mine definitely did.

  10. Yes I believe the small pipe was the banjo with return outlet. I have a double banjo with 2 large bores on the first carb, then I stuck a single large on the other side

  11. Sounds right.

I reused the double banjo on the RHS by tapping the return connection and Loctiting an M3 grub screw into it.

  12. This. I can confirm i inadvertantly fitted the double banjo without realising. It will run fine around town. Boot it and it will go slower and slower till it nearly stops and then the float fills up as the revs are lower and on and on. Fit a tee and single banjos or a proper double. Tee is better i reckon.
