Im looking for a front and rear Dash cam for my daughters Polo... there seems to be a bewildering amount of choice and prices available theses days!

Has anyone got a front and rear cam that they are happy to recommend? Ideally looking for something small, with minimal cables, and easy to install and use. Oh, and not too spendy...

    What ya got?

    :)

No one got a dash cam? Or are they all a pain in the orifice?

  3. I have a Netscape forward looking only
It records plays back and has a gravity future whereas if you are hit it automatically records and saves
Go to Halfords as a start point or PC world get some info cost a couple of hundred it's like satnav you get more features higher up the range you go

  4. I have a Halfords one - bought for my birthday 2 years ago - works well . I was wary of buying off internet as there is no come back if it goes wrong. A friend bought what looked like a nice one for a bargain price from a car show in the summer - it lasted 2 weeks, so beware

I've got a Nextbase 522GW front dash cam and the rear one that goes with it in our car.
In my van I have a 512GW which was the previous one to this and doesn't have a rear, but no windows in the back of the van so would be a waste for me!!
Both bought from Halfords but can't remember how much (wouldn't have been too much cos I'm tight!!!!:D)

Thanks everyone. Having looked at Halfrauds and Amazon, it's looking like the Nextbase 522GW is favourite.

The Blackvue does look good, but is a bit "ar mooch?"

Oh, another dumb question.. do you leave them in the car overnight, or take them out? Just wondered if they would attract thieving scrotes...

  13. One word of warning. If you use DAB radio. I had to take out my nextbase dash cam as it cut out my dab signal every time I used it

Not surprising. Probably ought to complain to Nextbase as legally that should not happen unless you have a stupid windscreen DAB aerial (picks up interference from anything near the screen) rather than a proper whip on the roof.

  15. I bought our daughter one off Amazon for around £35(similar to the one @bluerustybucket linked above) and it's been fine:thumbsup:

Two days after fitting it I followed a small lorry and a car which ended up with the lorry hitting the car. Gave the video to the car driver
