An unusual event tbh but after two weeks on the "ramps". Decided to brave the elephants and give the bus a run out to work today. Didnt want to play. Starter fault (probably solenoid). Never broke down when I used it everyday!!! Will thump it with a mallet to free it later - reasonably new starter as well (recon).
i went through 2 years of having to hammer my starter motor solonoid before i got a new one lol. i feel for you. mine was recon also 250 miles old when it died
malleting your starter wont help the cause ...probably break the metal splines init eventually,when all it needed was a good clean and service ..... ;D
Its a recent recon and the solenoid is sticking. Potentially due to the cold any way thanks for the advice but if it persists it will have a new one. I cant be having vehicles that dont start unless you beat them up!
