Daisy's fullon resto

  1. Hi sorry only just seen this reply, if you where closer I'd have it dude! Thanks though ;)

The van is almost finished! I'll put some pics up tomos but took her for a cheeky yet very illegal 'test run' across the Humber bridge and back which was amazing apart from running out of fuel !

I have got a couple of timing issues though as she's popping and farting and is a bit flat to say the least.

Should I be setting the v on the back of the pulley which I understand to be 7.5degs btdc to the centre at tick over or full advance?

Also only running a vacuum to the dizzy from one carb (twin itc 34s) and I don't seem to have any vacuum so would it be better from both? Will also be fitting a balance pipe soon.

Will get her properly tuned and get a fuel reg fitted before any long runs this is just to get her to paint (in the morning eeek) then mot on thurs

    Any suggestions will be appreciated

  8. cheers, yeah that was the only fudging required. The guy knew it was going straight back to paint for colour sand and buff so let it go, which was nice of him!
