Will you have any alcohol there?
    Or just soft drinks?

  10. If you want a good time, concentrate on setting up your transition area.

Shoes on pedals with little elastic bands holding up the shoe straight so you can jump on bike cycle off and then a few hundred metres later put your feet in and strap them up properly

  12. @1973daisey Top tip from the Mrs bearing in mind she' been doing these things since the late 80s, once you've set up your kit and bike in transition, do a walk through from 'swim out' to your bike, from the bike to 'bike exit'. Then from 'bike in' to where you hang your bike up to 'run out. You'd be amazed how many forget where their bike is when the transition is full of bikes and other triathletes all wondering around. Just reduces the stress a bit. I'e seen people wondering around for a couple of minutes trying to find their bike.

"setting up your transition area", almost sounds a bit rude. "Ooh, doctor, can you give me some ointment or something. Having a bit of trouble with my transition area......."
