Cv joints/driveshafts

    oh by the way - yes it came all good in the end quiet as a mouse now.

  5. I Read the thread. Just to clarify, did you buy just the joints or the ones with a brand new driveshaft? What are the difficulties, it didn't look like a bad job to me. In my head it's just take them off and replace, of course I know those are the types of jobs that go wrong. It's never a 5 minute job!

    i just bought the joints and the boots - no need to change the shafts - it's easy just messy.

    Not at all ...I made an attachment to fit onto a hand gun type grease gun , a nozzle off a silocone gun undid the clip on the drive shaft bar and pumped the cv grease through rather than stripping it down then see what happens ...in fact i think you might be able to get a grease tube for those mastic guns .
