After jamming my paper shredder last week I set about trying to get it going. After clearing all the jammed paper without effect, I decided to do a bit of diss-assembly. I found that one of the nylon gears had stripped, so I emailed the manufacturer to enquire about spares. This was their reply. Hello, Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding obtaining spare parts for your P70cm, which is now out-of-warranty. As you may be aware this machine is replaced outright while still within warranty, and no spare parts normally come into the UK for this model. However, here at Fellowes we like to assist wherever possible, and while the machine is no longer under our manufacturer's warranty we still believe that if we can help, we should. While this is going above and beyond the normal course of action, it saves the machine having to be disposed of or sent for recycling, and a replacement purchased at further expense to you. In this case we are unable to help. Kind Regards Customer Services Help Desk UK Customer Services
we had the same with one of their shredders. Its pretty much an admission that they sell crap which can't be repaired, as its out of warranty tough luck. They're telling you you're one of the lucky ones who managed to get one to last a year
