  1. Nice attention to detail there. What fittings did you use. Not sure where to start in finding these.

  2. Like you I couldn't find a fitting to fit both the fuel and crankcase breather .... That one is home made

  3. I got these from a local hydraulics firm, then thread to straight 1/4BSP rather than taper thread. slim nuts were from a supplier on ebay
and drilled them for a reatining split pin so i cant loose a nut down the carb.

all in situ, im quite pleased, and no risk of the engine munching the brass nuts!!

  4. Thats neat!!! Whats the copper pipe do!

  5. After research before I did mine general consensus was its best directly above the vent not the jets as if any oil or stuff does get sucked through then its far away from the jets .

  6. I replaced the whole fuel system and have copper tubing for most of the system p clipped in place, so now when it comes to replacing the flexi fuel lines, i only need about a metre, with some to keep as spare!!

  7. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

I don't get this breather box thing apart from it being technical looking bling. What's up with a T-piece?
The original system condenses the vapour it plops back into the case which seems sensible?
Why on earth fit a box to catch it that you have to keep cleaning out? Madness!

  8. shiny boxes sell for a lot more than a T piece

these VW suppliers would go bust if they only sold us cheap bits that work just as well

  9. i was sceptical too, but it looks nice!

  10. Im gonna fit one cos ive got one i bought for a quid about 10 years ago! Cheaper than a tee!!!!

  11. think it's an off shoot from performance mods increasing c/c pressure....hence vented rocker covers etc. plus everyone loves a nice neat box....vented or otherwise;)
