    I've been trying to find a photo of the Jinnah Bistro menu online - I have been unsuccessful.

    Anyhoo - looking at the menu, there were no descriptions of any use next to the dishes.
    Things like "cooked in a special way by our chef", and "a very tasty dish" etc etc.

    So I asked the young lad about the Lamb Karahi.
    "dernt ner" was his answer (at least that is what i think he said. I got the Trude to interpret).
    So she asked (again, I just about managed to understand her), "Is it a creamy sauce, or a tomato sauce?".
    "dernt ner" was again his answer. He also did not seem bothered that he didn't know.

    But then, to his credit, he gave it some thought, and he replied.......




    "It's like meat, in't graveh"

    bloomin northerners! :)

    that's more hull/east yorkshire - here it's 'dunt', isn't it?
    Hearing a small child say 'you couldn't' in a bradford accent was a shock many years ago! :eek:

    i always assumed it was the same as leeds, ooooh noooooo! My nephew used to have a bradford accent from nursery, it was very cute, prep school has knocked that out of him :(

    It's the Jinnah Bistro that's just opened in Saltaire where Curryosity used to be (on't top road opposite the co-op)
    Nice but pricey for essentially a takeaway from the main restaurant.
