Had this for a couple of years now and it is still amazing. They don't make them with external gas connection anymore but they do different non gas and I think a gas cartridge version. I've used it to cook our tea on for the last few weeks about 3 times a week. It cleans up like new as well. Absolutely love it. @physiopro is to blame for me buying this and I'm glad!!!
How does it work?, is it like a slow cooker, or does it reflect heat down from the lid to roast things, or is actually cooking like a grill from below? Is it moist or soggy cooking from steaming stuff and keeping the vapour in, or does it dry out by venting . I've never had one, so pls excuse questions.
It's basically a hotplate with burner underneath but if you get it hot enough and the truth the what down and keep the lid on it acts like an oven. There is a moat underneath to collect grease etc but can also be used to cook potatoes or chips. There is holes in the top of the lid to let steam out, I don't find stuff gets soggy. I have also cooked pizzas with the wire rack to keep it off the main hot plate
