Is the eye of the shock not moving around on the bolt? I’d be taking one thing off at a time then moving everything to see if the clunk has gone
That look suspicious as Para pointed out. The shock bolt guide looks damaged and the rubber virtually non existent. Drop the shock absorber off and have a look at the centre hole
I’ve measured and checked the shock length they seem ok too . . When it’s back down all ok. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
that’s not going to happen, she’s very slight in build , short and bolted to the couch watching the tv Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
or try haing it all off the ground and use a lever to lift the wheel up and down a little at a time to try and recreate the noise. although you have only done 180 miles since MOT it may well have been a bad part from he start
ok, just to confirm, wheel to hub good, caliper to hub good, bearings good, shock absorber is good , ball joint good, brake disc good, ive checked both nearside and offside all the same no noise from offside only nearside . when I try and move the wheel, rocking at the top, nothing moves and there is no noise then. when the wheels were up, I grabbed the wheel and turned the steering no clunks no play. I have measured the shock absorber, when up and when down ,imo no problem there bottoming out. when driving ,it clunks quite loudly but the steering and the way it drives seem ok, no problems with steering lock on full both ways ! ..................but I appreciate all the help
I'll check those tomorrow, in fact i'm going to re-check everything i'll get my bro to assist with the noise locating. I've now hit the cider
