What, to get the black stuff off the glass? I’ve got some horrendous stuff that takes me fingerprints off if I’m not careful.... any other options would be gratefully received!
yes! barkeepers on a washing up sponge, smear it on the glass, have a cuppa then i give it a wipe around before a rinse wipe followed by a rub with newspaper. Where it gets really baked on i just use more barkeeper's

blimey, what have you been using? barkeeper's is safe to use on fine pottery too. i love the stuff. it gets paint off windows when you can't be bothered to mask the frames
That is good stuff, the glass is spanking, I'm impressed. For sh*ts and giggles I even cleaned the kettle. My god I'm on a roll tonight, ......although the washing up sponge may now have to be retired from it's more regular duties
