  4. Think I will go to this rather then the North Weald as it's nearer and only a couple of miles from me sister
    , kill two birds with one stone,

  5. There's lots of room.
    @Technohippy knows the organisers, I'm sure they'd be up for a TLB lineup, they were very friendly last year.

  6. So now no-one's going to the one show I'm going to?

    This is like the most popular kid in school having a birthday party on the same day as yours...

  7. I still don't know, i like this one but never been to volksfest :thinking: Never noticed it was the same day till i posted this one :(

    Perhaps they can move one so they don't steal each others visitors

    Or you could come to this one :)

  8. yes run by my mate Steve Cooper, I can sort this for you :)

  9. Might be up for this one

  10. @Top Banana Racing all sorted, just let me know numbers nearer the time :thumbsup:

    and stick me on the list, i'm a Maldonite now so the bay should really get an outing to that one as its about a mile and a half from here :)

  11. I wouldn't admit to that! Not unless it's improved since I lived there!

    @Buddy Hawks @minirob @Sir Arthur @Mabel @Lofty @marigold13 @Barneyrubble @Lardy @simon @sharpey @kenregency @Technohippy
    That's a good potential line up, @Technohippy has got us the space with the organisers, any objections if I keep in touch with all and organise? Do I need permission from Mods as it's being organised on TLB?
    What about you lot from that there Lundun, @Majorhangover @Birdy @hippyrichy @JenW etc etc .
    Everybody else I'm sure would be welcome, @hailfrank @marowak @Dicky @sANDYbAY @Silver @dog @zed @Row @Razzyh @Rickyetta Roo @Lord Charles and the rest of you (can't keep waiting for the computer to recognise names).
    It's a lovely part of the world, not too far or hard to get to unless you're @rickyrooo1.
    What about a camp out on the Saturday night? (or even Fri/Sat)
    I know of at least 2 good places very close by and there's some lovely pubs spots to visit on a drive out, maybe Sat afternoon?
    I still have a lot of connections in the pub trade back there, may be able to score a free firkin* of something local!!!! (That's 72 pints for the un-educated)
    The place we had semi-elemental at was also nice if sparsely populated.
    Your thoughts are welcome.
    @Technohippy do you need my contact details for the organisers?

  12. ooohhh nice!;)

  13. I've spoken to James at The Huntsman and Hounds (my old stomping grounds) http://www.huntsmanandhounds.co.uk/
    They've got nothing on for that weekend at the moment and would be glad to accommodate us.
    Its about 11 miles from Langford so 20 mins? (maybe 30 in a Camper!)
    I've stayed there before (many moons ago) and I believe some of you may have been more recently (i.e. This Century).
    I'm happy to take other suggestions but this looks good to me.
    Some deffo's would be good so I can sort numbers.
    So here's a list, add your names.

    Friday and Sat Camping and Sunday Show
    @Top Banana Racing & @Mrs Top Banana Racing
    @sANDYbAY and Jan.

    Saturday Camping and Sunday Show
    @Mabel

    Sunday Show Only
    @Buddy Hawks

    It's a popular place so we're unlikely to get exclusivity, however James has said we can have our own 'bit' (the field is 5 acres) and there are 'facilities'.
    :)

  14. The Huntsman and Hounds served me the best pint of guinness I've ever had on the british mainland :)

    I'm not actually in Maldon, I'm along the row of farm cottages that stretch out along Mundon Road that back on to Northey Island :)

    Contact via PM on here is fine, its all set up to send me emails and I can just tell Steve how many when we know :)

  15. If people are really desperate for an exclusive field (but not as good guinness) I can arrange the Bell in Old Woodham

  16. I can recommend this too. We stayed there last year, friendly people.
    Same sort of Distance away, slightly less facilities but very good.

  17. @S1mon let's do it yeah baby!

  18. My (semi-adopted) brother lives there.
    As did I for a short time way back in the 70s/80s.
    What do the guys at the Old Bell charge?
