  2. Our kids are grown up now (25 and 23) and so Christmas hasnt really had the special feeling for quite a number of years now.

Last Christmas we spent up North in the Lakes visiting my inlaws and my wifes terminally ill sister. We spent the few days of Christmas in a nice hotel and whilst it was nice to share a superb Christmas lunch with family in a lovely Hotel on Christmas day it was probably the most depressing Christmas I can remember since my dad and my brother lost their jobs in the early 90s and money was so tight for everyone we really had a very miserable time.

This year I cannot wait ! We are having all of my immediate side of the family over for the day. I am cooking for 17 and best of all there will be my Sisters 3 young boys and my brothers 2 littleuns (18 months and 6 months). It should be a really special Christmas and a lot of fun. We are going to really push the boat out and spoil everyone I have decided.

  4. Am looking forward to christmas, decided not to stress myself out with all the latest gadgets kids are after, well wish for coz they know i just cant do it, and am thankful they understand, so set amount and then if money spare they have it spent on them,

My brothers Birthday Christmas eve and with me having transport (fingers crossed tomorrows garage look over helps) i can get through to the family too, so they cant wait either coz his kids all grown up and well my youngest is 5yrs then 8yrs 11yrs 12yrs 14yrs and 16yrs so still have the joy for it, so i cant wait,

Then we are guna have a family new year, who better to see it in with than family AWESOME

Hope theres going to be a Christmas dinner recipy started coz i love to know what you guys are having and a great cranberry sauce recipy come in great coz mine was a flop last year hahahahah

Flying to Dublin Christmas Eve and then driving across Ireland to Limerick to spend Christmas with my brother and family. My Mum and Dad are flying over earlier and my son and his girlfriend as well.

Should be good. Limerick races on Boxing Day - great day out :)

  7. Always looking forward too it :)
My dads like a little kid with his Xmas lights and tree.

    Just hope it snows :)

  8. The build up i dislike but the day itself is great. Love to have Donnups family with us and have a proper good day with plenty of laughs. Tend to stay away from mine as it always tends to end up in a punch up :))

Just hope i'm not ill this year. Last year i had a sickness and marmite bug and was laid up in bed for both Xmas & Boxing Day and the year before i had the flu :( So fingers crossed i make it through this one unscathed.

  9. With you on the need a break PT, Its the first year in a long time we hav'nt been abroad in a year and used up all our holiday time in days here and there, so the week off at xmas will be much appreciated.

Having had someone on here swipe some karma from me for being a bah humbug l might actually though only temporary enjoy Christmas. Almost 3 weeks in advance of its estimated delivery l received Kate Bush's new album "50 Word for Snow" and as there is a lot of mentioning about snow l could l suppose if forced to say it's my Christmasish albumish and an album l am enjoying.

l may also dig out my Carpenters Christmas album in December for a hour or less :)
