Found this on a the Bus Company - mexican forum. Is it a safety seat It must be - it has padding on the bar
Cant say ive ever seen one like that before. Doesn't look that safe really. Where's the straps? It looks more like a high chair seat than a safety seat.
I think Dazzles right in what he says - I wouldn't want to risk using it as a safety seat myself, maybe the Mexican laws are different to ours
I wouldn't use it the child would slide underneath. I know we all compromise on safety just by driving old vehicles but when it comes to small children I think we should be over cautious. You could always re-trim a modern baby seat to match the upholstery.
If anybody thinks that seat is safe, tell 'em I have some safety-playground slides they might be interested in.
I've got kids and wouldn't dream of putting them in this seat, but was just wondering if it was really used and legal in Mexico. Plus it does look sort of cool - if a bit unsafe.
