A scrap man with a large lorry with crane on the back has just turned up and offerd to get rid of that old scrap for me

You have to watch those people.

When I had the builders in last year they took the radiators of the wall and then left them outside to drain away the dirty water from the inside.

Within an hour some dodgy looking bloke had turned up in a van and was knocking on the door offering me a fiver for the three rads !

 

Once they got their eye on it watch them, 2 Vehicles have gone from peoples gardens around here.

 

They stole a beetle floor pan and gear box off my drive way . They even left note through my door asking if I had anything els I needed getting rid of just leave it out for them!

 

they see my van when im working and either knock on the door of the house or just walk around the back and pretend they are working for me or say to the house holder i have asked them to call .scrap metal is at an all time high due to demand from china , where they make crap parts for campers to sell back to us and the sooner it rusts the sooner they get it back again

 

Jeremy Vine did a piece on the problem today on R2.... Loads of people are getting things pinched by scrap men, one poor little amputee boy had his 12k wheelchair pinched for scrap....
