If you have your mobile with a particular company, sometimes they can offer deals - like this Vodafone one. Also, depends on what service they provide in your area
https://www.vodafone.co.uk/broadband - try this for starters, then all of the other companies.

I've bolded the word that renders your quest futile, no matter what the cost.

  6. I'm with Plusnet. Probably the best customer service in the business.

A second vote for Plusnet, part of BT so if there are any problems they deal directly with Openreach to get it fixed, they also had an English call centre when I last needed them, not sure if that's still the case though.

Had a couple of issues in the 5 years we've been with them but always sorted pretty much straight away. There is no fibre where I live so on a copper connection only, get between 15-17MBPS.

  8. Definitely not TalkTalk, totally useless, unreliable and slow.
We were with Sky who did have line issues (live extremely rural so probably not their fault) but fixed them promptly, then swopped to Vodafone - same speeds but cheaper.
I couldn't find a decent deal without a landline. The phones there but never used.
    Good luck!

I think you’re restricted to cable - I went with virgin for this very reason - did not want a landline and didn’t want to pay rental just for internet , been quite happy with them as well ... just internet mind - nothing else from them
