Cardiff City Campsite

  1. Just returned from the Easter Holiday after staying on this site for four nights. This site is run by Cardiff Council and if you want to camp almost in the city this is the one and probably only one. Situated near the River Taff you can walk into ten City in 15 minutes - the Millennium Stadium in around the same time.

The site has all the usual stuff to hand so no complaints here - what makes it exceptional are the easy access to the fantastic cycle routes to the Bay, or the Valleys - and watching the Rugby at the Stadium was fab. Cardiff is a fantastic City we were really impressed. So if walking, cycling, eating drinking shopping are you're thing this site is a must!

  2. We were talking about city centre camping this weekend. Cheers for that

  3. Despite being Welsh I've only been to Cardiff once but I was thoroughly impressed with the place, the waterfront is delightful. Do you have details of the site, booking contacts?

  4. Recently stayed on this site for three nights, as @Jestermans says it's perfect for visiting Cardiff. We really enjoyed the city and will definitely be returning again

I walk the dogs past it quite regularly - brilliant for many sports (next door to Glamorgan's cricket ground), 1/4 from the Stadium of Hope (Millennium) and maybe 1.5 miles from Cardiff City stadiums if you like a fight :)

The Castle also has a lot of music events, as do St Davids Hall and the CIA and the greatest rugby stadium on earth (still the Millennium).

The site is right next to Cardiff's biggest Parks - and near Pontcanna where all Cardiff's versions of Jemimah and Barnaby like a smashed avocado on emu bread or something equally daft.
