Can we have our karma back - please Horts ?.

KARMA - you earn it - you dont get it for free

 

generally i reward karma for things that make me laugh ...

dont get too hung up on numbers guys (be it karma or posts etc) - we value everything you do ...

 

Can't remember how many I had. But I can remember working really hard for them - was always looking for that rare post where no-one else could answer but, low and behold, I could! I was really proud of them. Karma is a great thing because it really does encourage everyone to be extra helpful. Kind of feel a bit deflated now I've lost them. Then again, I've got to remind myself that we've all lost them. So I'll spare a thought for others who (genuinely) had hundreds of 'em.

Get some of those long rambling tales of yours posted that we all love you'll get yer K back in no time

......how about "one night part 2" all about how one of the usual suspects was having a fag out the back of TLB towers hiding from the hall monitors, accidentally discarded it through the open IT room window and the whole lot went down .....HorTs goes on the hunt for the suspect.......the plot deepens

 

do any of you think that karma points make some people "try harder" to fit in? i personally don't care one way or the other - it's the only forum i've been on with it, i'm not having a pop at anyone but some people seem to care if they have it and some just post the same if it exists or not, i fall into the 2nd bracket and most karma i get is usually for making people laugh which makes me happy, if anything i forget sometimes to give it out, so i'll rectify that in a bit.

 

I'm just gutted that I lost the 3089 points I had.

 

admit it, you're all gutted the champagne build up thread(s) are lost forever..........
is it here yet?

 

some would argue there was a build up board - i was deffo "enthusiastic" on a serious note though it's a shame the newbies will not get some of the references from our old posts, be it mine or others, it's nice we are re-building but we have lost some epic tales and information. :'(

 

I think we should all just be thankful that we have the forum back , karma shmarma

 

I think that karma should be reset to zero for everyone, every year, tlb started in Aug so it's fitting it's all gone now.

It's a good reminder that everything should be done for the sake of doing it rather than a reward, karma's nice to give, great if you get some but at the end of the day it's a number it means very little.
