    Never sewed before. Bought a new sewing machine and the fabric for much less than the cost of ones on line. Really easy to do only very basic skills needed

  17. The static electricity produced when you close those curtains will recharge your leisure battery.
     

  18. Don't bother, they flap about and restrict your vision even when tied back and are expensive for what they are and then you have to fit the track as well. Just get a full set of insulated black-out screens for about £60.

    I made some blinds that fasten with poppers ( magnets didn't work ).
    Basically two pieces of material sewn together...curtains are equally easy to make, but as said you have the faff of the rails etc.
