  1. Really obscure but just on the off chance someone may have/know of one, I need to get my hands on a BSA Engine.
In order of preference B50, B44, B25, C25, C15 after that any twin but not a Bantam. Triumph twins also considered.

  5. Does this mean you won the auction & are now the proud owner of a new (to you) BSA engine?

  6. Indeed, picking it up on Sunday from Brands Hatch. Trial fit next week then the build starts, I'm actually quite excited as I haven't built a race bike for 5 years. :)

  7. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

So you actually want what may have put others off - the high comp piston?

  8. Only just noticed this, my father has loads of Brit bikes, AJS, Matchless, BSA and a Triumph Bonny

  9. Does he leave his garage open too? ;)

  10. Yep. A quick guess puts that somewhere up near 11:1, Methanol territory on a BSA Single and starting on rollers only.
I shall machine it down, probably to give a 0.75 squish and about 9.5:1 it'll be a bitch but will be kickable.
Been offering up some triumph race forks and calculating bearing sizes as well as making templates for caliper brackets this afternoon.
Doing the timing on the buses after I collect it tomorrow but then it'll be one day on buses, one day on bike for the foreseeable. = :D
