"Brummie" accent is the ugliest accent in the UK

    I really like the east mids accent, that's from watching too many Shane Meadows films :thumbsup:

    Ha ha, I like her accent, and I always give her a ribbing when she says baby, cos it always comes out as bair-beh :D

    Duck is Lincolnshire at least. I moved there when I was 7 and it was pretty weird to be addressed as water fowl..

    I think that although each area has its own particular words there are quite a few shared ones. I've had folk in Yorkshire tell me that I wouldn't understand what they were saying as I'm not from there. (Usually said as "you're not from round here are you? I am, I'm Yorkshire born and bred")
    However, as I've lived here for quite a few years I do, also words they think are their own are also used elsewhere.
    I know that as I've managed to live in more than one county (which is actually 3) all my life :mad: - not that I have issues :)
