You won't offend anybody but someone else will claim to be offended on their behalf :(

  5. Whatever happened to 'the soapbox' doesn't this one belong there?
Personally I think a public school RP accent is the snidiest, sneeriest ugliest accent on the planet. the yanks agree which is why the villain always sounds like George Osborne or some old Etonian type like that.

    I like them all.
As long as they avoid that Aussie rising inflection at the end of each sentence that questions whether you have the wit to keep up with their already over-simplified utterings.

  14. Do you think you're more offended than me. Did the OP think there were no Brummies on this forum. Signed, a proud but unoffended Brummie :p

That's the best thing about a forum. You read what someone writes without pre judging them based on how they speak.

I have a type of Brummie accent, but it is far better than a loud mouth Cockney accent or condescending public school accent and what about those half educated accents you hear mothers talk to their children with in waitrose?

I believe I have a fairly neutral accent from an oxfordshire upbringing tho have picked bits up from living from the south up to the north - also picked up bits from parents who. We're from the Black Country :)
I like a brummie accent, not so keen on scouse :)
