Brighton Breeze Club Lineup

Discussion in 'Shows Events You've Missed unless you went' started by b0dyr0ck2006, Mar 14, 2012.

  1. I got there late in the day after van hire hell.

Caught up with a few TLBers and met some new ones.

Well done and respect to Colin for organising the line up!

My pics are uploading at the moment

  2. I second that...
Was great to meet you Colin, and think your plan for next year is a great one to ensure we're all lined up together.
P.s. loved the mini electric bay you've built...top class

  4. It was good to meet you all and a good day was made better by great weather. Next year we will try and get a bigger lineup!

Now time to recover from too much alcohol ;)

  5. Big Thanks to b0dyrock2006 for arranging and making us feel very welcome.we had the best time ever and he even arranged the weather.

  7. Hi all,

We arrived at Hook Friday night late, after yet more engine and oil leak problems !!!

We joined the cruise and arrived at Madeira just gone 11am to find as usual that they hadnt reserved any space for the cruise people, so we ended up right down the far end of madeira.

We walked up and down Madeira on Saturday and didnt see any tlb signs or indicators but thought we spotted baybirminghams van but no-one near the late bays next to it.

However, when we got back at 3.45pm, we found that our van Alice had won the 'late bay' show and shine prize ! but we couldnt start her to join the line up, due to starter motor and engine issues ;o(

We bump started her at 6 then went to Racecourse but again didnt see any tlb people.

Sorry we missed you guys and hopefully next year between us we can organise a lineup and make sure we are all together.

    cheers

    mark and alison

  9. Thanks bodyrock but when we drove down madeira at 11.15am ish we didnt see any gaps and certainly not the tape. someone did give us a latebay card as we drove past but it wasnt obvious that ut was the latebay line up, sorry.

My idea for next year, if we are allowed in as we didnt take our space this year, is for us all to use the same format of document on the dash, like the earlybayers did, as it was really obvious which was their section.

our other suggestion would be that perhaps we should all agree to either camp together on the fir night near to madeira or plan to meet on the outskirts of brighton, so as to arrive at the same time.

we wont be doing the cruise again next year, as we have had enough of not being reserved spaces on madeira drive by the SVVC, being given no option but to park way down at the end. We think having discussed it with many others that this will eventually kill the cruise.

hopefully see you all at the winter camp

  10. That is pretty much what we all decided. Next year all camp locally or even at the racecourse like the earlybay lot do, then make our way to the front at 7:30/8 to set up the lineup.

I suggested that we all have a pass type thing so the marshals know its been ok'd too as I had to almost force my way in early on Saturday, the others that were down to help me couldn't get in.

It was probably me that gave you the card, in my latebay top, by the lineup ;)

  11. Great pics of the line up col , i would have gone up top too but i was warn out ;D. the banner was good but i didnt even spot it when i went round the back, mainly coz i was facing the other way talking to boot but most foot traffic was down the middle unless you were sun bathing ;) not your fault spect thats the only place you could put it ,we need some flaggy ones ??? maybe ???.

  12. I will second the idea of the flag style banners, we walked up and down a couple of times and if it hadnt been for Mickies van with the glitter roof and spotting b0dyr0ck2006 trying to get a line up photo we wouldnt have known were you guys were parked.
Good line up and and cracking good show to end the season.

  13.
  14.
  15. What I'm still bemused at is how many of you recognised me by face 8)

The chap with the hayburner t-shirt (I'm terrible with names) was chasing me down the road calling me, I turned round a couple of times and didn't recognise anyone so kept going. He finally caught up and introduced himself. Afterwards I thought, how the hell did he know it was me - I didn't even have my latebay hoody on.....

Good to see all of you, even the ones not on the lineup. Next year will be better.

  17.
  18. To be honest I was pretty worn out by then, getting down early, running around trying to get everyone lined up, dishing out cards, socializing with members. Come 2 o'clock I had to sit down.

As I said, it was good to meet you all and put some faces to names.
