  5. Thanks for the offer dog, didn't take any modern devices with us so only just picked up the message on the thread.

What a brilliant place breck farm is. Pulled up at the shop, linda went in to book in, no hassle just find a spot in the meadow and pitch up, it was quite busy but not over crowded, there was a couple of late bays, a police t25 and a couple of other t25's. if any one on here was there we weren't being ignorant we just wanted some chill out family time.

The toilet and washing block is huge and really clean, it is a converted cattle shed and there is a breakfast van on site from 8 o'clock in the morning which is ideal for the morning of departure

We liked it that much we actually wanted to stay longer. We took a walk to nearest village using the maps that are provided, on the way we knocked on a villages window and bought some crab and seafood for the walk, apparently n
This is normal for Norfolk also the road signs make you smile "slow you down now" was one on entering the village.

The local village pub had vast array of ciders and real ales, if you want to eat there you have to book early as it so popular, we were turned away so we had a Guinness for tea.

We then moved onto wells and the village carnival week which as excellent.

One for the nor-folk locals does any one know of the crab shack and if there are any beaches around that area that you can actually drive your van onto the beach, loads of people where telling us about these two places but no one knew the exact locations.

Breck farm is highly recommended for a perfect chilled out weekend

    glad you had fun!
no beaches you can drive onto in norfolk unfortunately!
crab shack, you might mean cookies which is in salthouse near the duncow pub, or the crab house which is in wells, just a bit further along the quay apssed the ark royal pub
glad you enjoyed the carnival, did you see pout at the devil? my buddy is the guitarist, fantastic

  7. @dog we did see pout at the devil, might sound daft but one of our friends is a guitarist and he wouldn't shut up about how good the guitarists were.

We are definitely going again next year and using it as a starting point for going round the coast all the way to Cornwall

  8. been and back

  9. Rigtho......we are back safe and sound , have not camped here in high season and doubtful I will again and that nothing against the site or the people running it. It was way to busy for us and we were unlucky to have a raver the first night and then six hundred people staying in a caravan who did not understand that being loud at 11.30 at night is not acceptable.........they did after I had a word. Walked down to Kelling Heath to try their restaurant ( which is against Kelling Heath law but we lied) for Bow's birthday , it was crud , really really awful food £50 lighter. However the band in the square were brilliant. we did have a lovely holiday though. There were numerous other bays, T25's , T4's , T5's and a splitty and no one spoke, which for once did me just fine. Went to the beaches, loads of woodland walks including down to Weybourne, to the station watched the trains. Had a chat with Tony Robinson in Sheringham, which was nice , he was filming.

As I said I love Breck Farm , but will stick to going out of season o_O
