So i have what looks like two inlet hoses for this carbon filter. Correct me if i am wrong. Do i need to connect to a breather filter? Would a crank case breather filter do the job?

  2. I take it you have a fuel injection set up as I have. The inlet on the left takes a pipe from the front cooling box on the left, the outlet extrusion is near the coil. On the right of the carbon filter are two openings, the bigger one has the same diameter as the other side but takes a tube that connects to a valve on the air filter box on the right, the thin pipe extrusion is for the petrol tank breather pipe that comes from the centre T joint just inside the engine area near top of lid. The valve on the air box is missing on mine so have not connected it but blanked the hole in air filter. Have half filled the canister with clean carbon and the air from the engine tube pushes the petrol fumes from inlet petrol breather system and out the other hole into the air and goes either the air filter intake or the big engine cooling fan. Been like this for 4 years and have never had any petrol smells.

The bus was fuel injection but no longer will be.
