Boge Shock Absorbers

Can anyone recommend Boge shock absorbers ?

Was planning to replace all 4 on my crew cab and saw VeeWee have a promotion on a 4 shock bundle of Boge shocks.

JK seem to sell Sachs for not too much more.

Just looking for some feedback before deciding.

Sachs and Boge are the same and are fine for a Bay – no point in giving JK more money if you can get them somewhere else cheaper. I’ve had Boge on mine for 6 or 7 without any problems, although the fronts are a bit soft and I’m about to change to Gaz adjustable dampers.

No complaints about them.

 

Had boge on mine when it was on the road there perfectly fine

Cheapest is gsf on eBay of all places . I bought some top mounts for a bug off gsf (ebay) there own website or vee wee they were about £10 each . EBay site they were £5.95 with free delivery!!! Don't make sense . Just check there ebay site if they stock them on there they usually work out cheaper than us g the discount code .

My goodness they have hiked those prices. I take back my tip for GSF

 

They appear to manipulate their pricing very carefully...

 

They are even better at it than Tesco, when hey have 25% off wine.

I tried lots of different discount codes. Only found a 15% which worked.

Still cheaper for a set of 4 decent shocks than anywhere else so i'm happy.

Lets see what they're like when delivered.

So the VeeWee ‘front and rear German shock absorber kit’ arrived today.

I opened the box and there are 4 shocks in individual Boge packaging. The contents are clearly marked ‘made in Mexico ‘

What part of German shock absorber kit is that ?

Boge dampers have been manufactured in Mexico for at least 15 years and probably for a long time before that. They’ll be fine.

Are you no longer happy?

 

Incidentally, Sachs dampers are also manufactured in Mexico - Sachs is part of the Boge/ZF group.

 

I’m not unhappy but why advertise them as German shock absorbers ?

I’m reassured by you guys they’ll be good but I hate being had over.
