Bringing it back to life slowly

As it stands at the moment.

The Van was bought with no interior the intention of baring with the body work for a vew years as the paint looked pretty fresh etc was the idea but proved to be a mistake. Whist readying the interior the "usual rusty bits were obvious and unforutnatley for me were bad enough to invade the outer bodt work also. So as most plans mine were now very different and were going to cost me way more than anticipated. So then the bodywork began, along with the interior, as i wanted it to be a rolling resto and to be honest it still is as we speak.

  8. Very nice.

  9. Bang tidy

Did your mirrors come with that black rubber surround?

  10. The surrounds on the mirrors were on the Van when first purchased.
    things todo still.

    Exterior:
Need rear bumper at some point, have a one in fibreglass one in the Garage but need to modify the irons for it to fit.
Door handles could do with being replaced as they have corrosion.
    Some Tastefully Stickerage,
Redo the boot lid (Rub down and re-prep and repaint)
MOP the paint and polish (new season March)

    Underneath:
    re-new Suspension parts (on going)
Bit of new steel needed underneath Small section that got missed
    Re-underseal (soon as)

    Engine:
Tune the twin carbs (new season)
consider converting the oil catchtank/breather system
Enginer out and full clean so i can check the Petrol tank and replace sender.

    Interior:
Take dash out rub down repaint and replace.
Make new door cards all round and cover in fake black leather look
    install a buddy seat
    Edge all cupboards
    install reading light
tidy and re-new grubby interor cloth.

    To-Do:
    Wire in Heated wind screen
Block off heater pipes to front Cab as not connected to engine.
    Wire new horn
Maybe add the spot lights i have in the Garage to front bumper.
Eventually Prep-repair and paint top half.

I feel like i have achieved alot but i know the list will grow and even though its had a restoration i still expect to play catch up with the rust monster.

  11. Ok guys been meaning to do this for ages but i have finally managed to compile a slideshow of the ongoing restoration onto youtube.
