  18. was just making my post work cuppa and suddenly felt guilty... i suspect i *may* have sworn during my van spray nightmare ranting.

i'm sorry, i probably did as i do have a potty mouth when things like that happen. I admit, i didn't know it was a rule as i didn't read them (my responsibility).

i am however, pleased that it is and that the commitment is for it to be a *family* friendly place as that's how it has mostly felt. These forums can become very 'boysy', due to the male/female ratio and even though i've always worked in a male dominated industry and can handle myself, i often don't say anything, and just leave. Saying something singles you out and frankly i don't join these places for arguments and confrontation.

i read a post earlier saying something along the lines that those with opinions get singled out by the "PC" brigade. If this were true we wouldn't have the intolerance we do in this country and couching intolerance as a 'joke'...? jokes are meant to be funny, if they hurt someone, anyone, then they're not funny they're hurtful, divisive and shouldn't be allowed to become acceptable behaviour.

we don't know what others' experiences are, what personal tragedies they have dealt with, so if anything an online community should be *more* mindful of other members?

.... and as Elvis* said "what's so funny about peace, love and understanding?"
    (* the other one).
