Beetle Drive, Crich Tramway Museum 23rd Sept

Looking to go reasonably early on Sunday morning, live near Meadowhell,so will be going down the M1.

Happy to meet up for a convoy as not done one before ! Scoobyblue seems to have sorted a place......just need a time !

 

Ref convoy from M1 (Sorry been away in Scotland for two days and have not picked up any messages)....(Betty The Bay) (Mrs Moosey) Betty The Bay give me a time and I'll link with you on M1 at Southbound services between Jun 31 and 30 (Woodall Services). Mrs Moosey could then link with you and Sarah F at Chesterfield. If Me and Betty The Bay exit at Junction 29 and head towards Chesterfield we could meet at the McDonalds, which from memory is off the main roundabout at the end of the long road in off Jun 29 and too the left. Give us a link and time Betty The Bay and I can let Mrs Moosey and Sarah F know!

Let me know what time (preferably not at the crack of dawn, I'm out for my birthday the night before!!! lol ...considering actually staying up, then getting my head down in the van in the afternoon 8) ) - we have to get in before 11am tho apparently. (seriously tho, anytime is fine with me)

The 11 am entry deadline is for vehicles booked into the display. We can turn up any time

Should we all try to convoy down the street together?
If so, we need to be able to identify and contact each other on the day.

The carpark is always rammed so parking together will be impossible I think. People just slot into the convoy queue when they can so we would need to get in the queue together .

probably best to meet up somewhere then get into the queue together if that's what everyone wants to do

Is everyone ok swapping mobile phone numbers? Then you can be contacted? No probs if you don't want to though! Best way is to pm us.

Morning all, SarahF looks like we are going direct as 72Wilma has gone off already to campsite nearby and I don't think Moosey's are going. Will meet all at venue, apperntly there is a large car park at the entrance to the Tramway. I would imagine it would better to be there by 9.30is as it all starts at 11. We are not booked into the drive, neither is 72Wilma. We are meeting them at the car park, we are in blue bay 72 with Scooby in back...have Late Bay sticker in back window. See you there.

 

We are still coming was just waiting for someone to say what time to meet up @ McDonalds... never mind!

Any thought on convoy meeting point and time yet? We are travelling from Derby but happy to go further "oop North" if folk are heading from Chesterfield/Sheffield way. We don't need much of an excuse to do a journey in our Myrtle.

 

Mrs Moosey...SarahF, Bertiebot....Sorry...let's start again on convoy! What about a meet up at Chesterfield McDonalds (the one off the long road leading into Chesterfield from Jun 29) get to the main roundabout and turn left, 100 yards along..unless someone can suggest something different!!! What about 9.15am... if we need to be earlier let me know! 72Wilma already gone to campsite nearby and is meeting at main carpark on entrance to Tramway!

If we meet 9.15 - 9.30 ish, we will be there by 10am - plenty of time to get the kettle on before the first convoy
