Only a week to go now my lovely fellow beavers. I've started to sort out my camping gear already, as I'm a bit excited. Do we have any plans, apart from the obvious . Is there anything to see/visit nearby, in the unlikely event I don't have a chronic hangover? Is there anything in particular I should bring? Like, is there a communal BBQ or cocktail bar? I can't cook so I won't be bringing any ready made food for us all but I love a fancy cocktail, if anyone else is up for that?

I know 72wilma mentioned the idea of doing paella on one of the evenings and we're always up for a BBQ so that's both nights sorted as far as cocktails go I would have to say the more the merrier - literally

I looked on the website and I'm sure we'll be able to go for a walk on Saturday so all in all it should be a fab weekend

 

So looking forward to this now... I'm super broke but will try to bring some form of contribution...

Still unsure as to which doglet to bring... :S

 

All our alcohol lives in Wilma at the mo

You name it, BarWilma probably has it (apart from dirty beer)

 

On the paella front, our pan only makes enough for two, not catering size, sorry

So what are the plans for heading down on the friday ladies? Are we convoying? Zoe you will be coming past my way wont you? What time are you all getting there if we aren't convoying?

We'll probably be leaving about 4 ish to get there for about 6ish - nothing like having a definite plan!

 

We've both got the day off so hopefully heading down mid afternoon - can't wait now

 

Well I could meet you somewhere ,aybe a Service Station near you guys Dubweiser as I was thinking of heading down afternoonish too

 

I'm thinking of leaving work early and heading down afternoonish.
My directions are suggesting M6 to M56 then A49 down - Does that sound right? and does that bring me anywhere near anyone else?
Wouldn't mind some convoying if possible

 

Sounds like a plan mrsmc219 and Tiny-Pie - Sarah reckons the first services we hit on the M6 will be Knutsford - will you be going past here too, otherwise next services for us is Sandbach - what time will be you able to get there for our mini-beaver convoy

No dirty beer or ale in my bar either! If it aint sweet enough to rot your teeth or has an alcohol content higher than meths then it's not getting in.

I can get there anytime too, was thinking about 3pm. I'm coming from the East, Peterborough, Kettering, M6, M42, if anyone wants to meet on the way.

 

Got a bottle of amaretto...that should keep me going/ could be added to the cocktail bar

Mmm, Amaretto, excellent, add it to the bar! I found the perfect mixer yesterday, pink Lucozade! It looks pretty AND it stops you from falling asleep.
