Woody was still only doing 55mph.

seems 55 mph must be a variable reading.

I really enjoyed the running commentary. Looking forward to blasting past you all (in my Bay) in the fast lane next year

 

On the way back form Grill N Chill last weekend i saw a T2 and a LB come roaring past me and try as i might to keep the pace up i couldnt get near either of them. The only time i did go past was when the LB had pulled off at a parking bay along the road at Elvden Forest only for it to roar past again on the A47. Pink Bay called Trudy. Must have had some serious engine dropped in it as i was doing 70mph and it just roared off up the road.

 

I enjoyed the commentary - it relives the drama, the blood, the sweat, the tears.

However I was dissapointed to notice two things:

No one was effecting a more aerodynamic stance in any of those buses (60% of the time,it works every time)
No one was jettisoning any cargo, kids, pets or other various part of bus in a Phileas Fogg/Richard Branson manner, to lighten the load and thus increase speed.

Gadzooks - this is the British desease - where is the sacrifice for victory guys?!?

There wasn't even a wing mirror pulled in!!

Nothing finer than trying to race a bus with another bus. Mike4 as I raced up to Elemental. It was the dullest race ever

How big was the tailback behind you when you took up two lanes?

 

Took up 2 lanes!! We took up the whole 3!! ;D That picture of the pig "flying" past wilma at near supersonic speeds is the one and only time it has been in the outside lane!!! The lights became a blur like the when the millenium falcon goes into hyperspace we were going that fast!!
