  2. They look great but I don't have the time/patience/skill to fit one. Any idea how much someone would charge to fit?

  3. it depends on how long they take to fit it really....which can be depend on how much prep work you have or have not done - i.e front screen out, old headliner removed etc. If you need to take the front screen out do you need new seals etc

If its all ready to fit, then approximatly 2hrs to fit it nicely if your experienced, or doing it your self allow 4hrs for a really nice fit

    where are you based?

  4. Perfect for me as I am stocking up on all the bits for Ollie's restro next year !

  5. I`ll take one please - PM me your payment details (bank transfer would be good) and we`ll sort it out ...

    Cheers ... Chris.

  6. I'll definitely be buying one.. Not for a few months though, where can you get the tension rods from?

  7. You're missing a trick, you should be offering a mobile fitting service too. Do they look pukka or home made? No disrespect. Be honest, I won't tell your mrs if you think they're pants.
    :)

  8. From the picture above I'd say they look bloomin good mate!
    Just a shame I've got a sunroof!

  11. fair comments mate

I can offer a fitting service if its local :) ....obviously have to see the bus first before committing to a price

I'll be absolutly honest.... those who have read my resto thread will know I hate poor fitting/bad quality parts, if I didnt think they were up to standard I wouldnt fit them to my bus let alone sell them....I'm a fussy bugger

they are made to the exact shape and style of the originals, even down to the curved profile on the front bow. Templates were made from the origianls, but the new ones have some 'extra' at the sides and front end so they can be trimmed to the exact size when fitting. I believe the originals were seam welded - ours are stitched for obvious manufacturing reasons.

If any one wants to come and look at mine to see the quality I'm happy to take viewings......you might have to sit through 2hrs of me talking about my restoration though

  12. Is it full length? Interested in 2 if so
    :)

  13. not full length of van if that is what you mean, these are full cab ones so they go from the front screen to just past the courtesy light about level with the B pillar - they are the same size as the ones JK and heritage sell for £115

Mrs Diddymen could make full length tin top ones, but she would need an old one to take a template off and to work out a price -full length tin top ones from Heritage are about £230 .....I'm sure she could do them for a fair bit cheaper

  14. last one of these provisionally sold - should have some more material arriving by the end of the week ready for Mrs Diddymen to make another batch next week....happy to take advanced orders (but not payment until they are ready)

still have the '2nds' one for sale at £55 including postage ....heres some pics

as you can see it has a double row of stitching at the end rather than a single row, the curved one was added separatly rather than continuious from the main seam, once it is installed it will still fit correctly to the right profile

it wont affect they way it looks once fitted

  15. Hi, I'm based in Coventry. You?

  16. Ooooooh, could Mrs Diddyman make one for a double cab?

  17. I'm based in Hampshire ....bit far for me to nip up :(

She could, but we would need an old one as a pattern ideally......might be able to make it from dimentions/photographs supplied by you  .....could certainly do it cheaper than the usual parts suppliers

  18. Awesome. I am not in the market for one just yet as there is still alot to do on my van but I will keep you in mind. Always prefer to give my money to people like yourselves instead of the big boys.

    Cheers

  19. thanks mate,

I'll keep a look out for an old one locally to take a pattern off as there is no rush  .....I know a few locals that might want one :D

  20. I have loads of original headliner rods for a bay, if anyone interested?
