My uncle had a coal wagon and used to get Road Hauliers Magazine.....I spent hours making haulage yards out of Lego for my corgi trucks.
Not sure if wanted to drive a truck (probably) or become an architect....did neither, ended up in a bank.

Go up in space. I even had a NASA silver Spaceman and helmet outfit.

I wanted to be a Seagull as you could swim and fly. Nowadays you can get fish and chips free as well.

  15. Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional. A tenant I prefer to adhere to.

Can’t think that I did. Maybe that’s why I never settled in a particular profession.

I remember trying hard to think about this in my last year at school. Forestry came into my head from nowhere really, but it was something I should have listened to as I’ve always lived for the outdoors.

An interest in science and electrical stuff and an early departure from Sixth Form led me into Telecommunications as it was then, which morphed into IT.

    Should’ve stuck with trees.

    Didn’t happen.

we got absolutely zero careers advice when I was at school. I’d always liked tinkering around with my motorbike and then later my early cars, fixing stuff.

  20. I did Environmental land management at uni as i had no idea what i wanted to do.
Turns out unless you've spent decades volunteering for somewhere like a National Park or similar you've got virtually no chance of getting a job in the area as the people who have the jobs stay until they retire or die. Degree means nowt without the experience and can't get the experience as the posts are always filled by people with years of experience.
