I've just taken a punt that they are original, seller described them as original on fleabay. They might be going back if they are not
Aapparently if you look down into the heat exchanger you should be able to see the metal which absorbs heat and the fan blows out. In the pic the one on the left is a repo less fins, and the one on the right is an original heat exchanger. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgu...gDePM0QXlrYCgCA&sqi=2&ved=0CFAQ9QEwBA&dur=332
^this. Take a look down the big circular tube where the air pipes connect. If there are big wide fins as in the right-hand pic, they're genuine. Thin blobby ones, they're repro. May or may not be a VW logo stamped somewhere. Also: if they're bloody heavy, they're real - good 'uns weigh a ton! If the blokes touting them as genuine and they're not, send them back. Repros are two a penny...
I'd know if they were original if I had them, not arrived yet. I meant can anyone tell from the picture. They were advertised as original. fingers crossed
They look the same in a picture TBH, you'll just have to wait and see. If I were selling OG ones, I'd include a pic of the fins to remove any doubt.
To be honest your not going to know until you get them. It's extremely difficult if near impossible to tell from one picture.
