Are there any alternatives to fabric headlining?

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by loudoo2, Sep 3, 2011.

  1. The headlining in the back of my van is all tatty and stained so I want to replace it. But are there any alternative to the fabric headlining I have? I have a pop up concertina type roof with swing out bunks on each side.

    Thanks

I,ve just been to a show and was looking at a late bay westy head lining which looked factory fresh and very good, so i asked the owner where he got it. Turns out he made it him self out of white hard board. The stuff you get from most DIY shops 8' x 4' sheets. Only about £10. It really did look very good.

  8. When we went from tintop to poptop, I got hold of some flexible ply and did the inside of the roof with that - varnished up it looks quite nice.

  12. thanks for the comments, all i did was fit a ply headliner kit i got off ebay and then a local trimmer covered it. it feels a bit like Shaft's padded cell !
going back to the original question though...you could trim the ply with whatever material you want, to make it look more original or even freakier!
