A guy I worked with some years ago did similar with a van (but not so well built) when he got divorced and then promptly lived in it on his ex-wife's drive way for years.
Not related but by name - drove a LWB High Top recently and was uber impressed - better than T5 by a hugumountous amount.
My first ever camper 35 years ago was a really scruffy knackered matt black MK1 transit minibus with a futon and a chest of drawers in the back and stripey curtains. It was a chick magnet at the time, I always had one along for the "ride".
