Any RAF types? Lancaster bomber flight path 16/05/18?

  1. I watched the only flying Mosquito crash and burst into a ball of flame at Duxford some years ago. Tragic.

Have you been to the Mosquito museum in Hertfordshire in the barn where they secretly build the prototype? It's brilliant.

I’ve just been looking on bbmf site. I may try to book myself into dads on 23/24 June as they are flying over a car show in Bicester and there’s also the steam rally in bloxham :)

Well done to the R.A.F. and the BoB Flight in particular.

Get a free air show. Nice when the Canadian one was over here.

The BBMF park up just the other side of the chain link fence at RAF Coningsby as I luckily found out last week. Even managed to watch them take off. FB_IMG_1526549391436.jpg FB_IMG_1526549376481.jpg FB_IMG_1526549403164.jpg P1070324copy_zpsb56fb7fa.jpg

    Tragic on several counts then.

Don’t get round that part of the country very often but it sounds interesting.

Took my dad to Brooklands Museum and we loved that. When you see inside one of those old bombers it gives an idea of the sort of thing those guys had to endure. Trying to imagine it in darkness being thrown around and shot at... good grief I’m glad I wasn’t around then.

  9. I'm pretty sure I saw the bomber fly past Penistone at about 8.10 this morning.

Apparently the Lancaster flew yesterday, so you probably did!
