Anti Roll bar bushes

  1. Noticed a rubbing sound going round corners which I traced to my nearside anti-roll bar bush. It had rusted through and broken.
Checking the usual suspects I noticed VW Heritage were doing a deal on their stainless steel bush kit (£18 for a pair). I've been impressed with Heritages quality so far and this product has not changed my mind. The kit contained two clamps, bushes and replacement anti-roll bar fixing nuts and bolts.
Time available was limited and working on the ethos 'if it aint broke don't fix it' I decided to only change the broken clamp. This is a bit of a nightmare job and an extra pair of hands is a must. We found that using a leverage bar on the top of the clamp (to stop it sliding up) I was able to use a pair of mole grips to squeeze the clamp closed and fit the retaining clip.
