    Buy cheap buy twice

Which ones did you have on there so we minions can avoid? It's all down to cheap rubber I'm sure. Bloody Chinese...

  3. GSF I think this time but they were definitely more rubbery rather than plastic. Wondering if I'm doing something wrong?!??
Where's these so called expensive ones then Ray? I've bought from all the suppliers and they're all crap!!

  4. Buy the JK ones that perish before you fit the drive shaft to the van, saves lying underneath it.

  5. I bought some NOS from heritage last year not sure if they still have any. Let me know if you need a hand.

  6. Its that Chinese rubber again, its everywhere. I bought some repro wheel cylinders for my mgb and the rubber seals and dust covers dissolved in the dot4 brake fluid.

Sent them back and sourced a pair of British made NOS ones off ebay. both good.

  8. Sky's blue and the sea's wet. And vw cv boots need changing once a year.

  13. i spoke to VW heritage today, they have Meyle or Topran as an option or £12 a boot kit (which ever brand is in stock at the time, or VW genuine for £30 a book kit obs X4

currently they have Topran so do you think that would be the best option for £12 less a bit of late bay discount?

  14. I think I've tried them all so far lol. If you fit the Topran which have been recommended then make sure you check it over when you do your pre mot checks. Boots which are more rubber appear to be better. Just don't get the plastic feeling type as they appear to be more subject to splitting.
