Another question for Devonistas

  1. ...if you've got the little wardrobe/cupboard by the sliding door. How much clearance is there between the door of the cupboard and the sliding door handle? Do you have to slip your hand into the gap to operate the handle? I forget.
     
  2. I now have 4-5 inches of space, I cut the cupboard down 'cos I couldn't work the handle properly from inside.

    @snotty i have the swing out cooker by the sliding door, would that be roughly in the same place ?
     
  6. Yep. The later ones just had a narrow cupboard. I'd forgotten it blocks the door handle if it's too close.

    The door handle has to go on upside down beside my cooker.
    Theres even an offset spindle version of the handle in NLA land that helps by allowing the inverted handle to go forward on doors that need the outside handle raised to latch the back end.

    You can get your hand in the gap and the cooker is low enough to use the latch bit inside to shut the door on ours
