  1. Hey guys,

I have always wanted a camper for years but only recently has it become a possibility.

I have managed to get hold of an Orient Blue 1974 Classic Bay Window Camper Devon Conversion. 4 berth; pop top with bunks. reconditioned 1600 engine 2009 in good working condition

Bodywork seems good with some slight rust bubbles coming through.

Just wondering what you guys thought? How much would you pay for this beauty? [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Looks pretty straight to me. I'm not going to say a price because you've already been and gone and done it!
    Welcome along btw :)

Asking price of about £11.5k I'd imagine......
    ;)

  7. Welcome! Price wise.... I would say... less than what you paid for it

Welcome from Yorkshire (cold today). Nice bus by the look of it but only a hands on examination by an expert (not me!) would give a realistic value

  9. Hi and welcome, looks nice  (better than mine did....but i'm working on it )

  10. Welcome from Surrey. Nice looking bus although looks a bit light for orient blue!

  11. Welcome. Any pics of the under body and the engine bay? You have bought it now, if you post up more pics you will get lots of helpful comments.

  13. Thinking of selling it already...:D

Thing is ,getting a van for a bargain is nice ,but owning and driving a bay whatever the price is nicer ,it's not about the money it's about the road ahead....:hattip:

    bonjour...:hattip:

  16. Very deep and also very true.

I guess I just wanted to know I hadn't started the journey ahead by having my pants pulled down.

  17. Very nice looking bus! But owning a bus means your pants will always be round your ankles... heck you might as well stay bent over and call yourself Shelia. Its called 'Scene tax' buggers you every time!

Hello from the depths of the New Forest.
Good choice of forum to join, and the van looks like a good choice too.
What it's worth is largely irrelevant unless you plan on selling it.... and then it's worth what someone will pay. The important thing is you now own a VW Bay window Campervan and that's gotta be worth more than anything. Look on it as a hobby.... Very few people make money from their hobbies, but at least you can sleep in yours ;)

if you're happy with the price then you did well - 1st day you break down in the rain and the mrs/kids are giving you agg you'll regret it.

RHD poptop camper, interior a bit basic, that bubbles but looks the right shapes everywhere.
