Another Welshy here...where are you exactly? In fairness as has already been said they are pretty simple......i ahd no idea about cars til I bought mine and have replaced loads of bits with a ramp and Haynes manual and a lot of help from here!
recovered to garage in Cardiff. I had been trying to find local garages online last week, when i came across article about Chris Ford of Volks Engineering. although my initial conversation with Chris was really positive, I was 'soo' embarrassed to turn up on a recovery truck!! I needn't have worried Chris was really friendly and helpful......loads of info and advice. even put pic of Pebbles on his facebook page! Most importantly fixed my clutch cable, and gear linkage and Pebbles now drives like a dream, much smoother gear change. Thanks Chris!
not far from you ......in Newport. found great local guy now, Chris Ford of Volks Engineering Cardiff. My other half has said he needs Haynes Manual.........not sure we have space for ramp tho'? Everyone on here seems helpful.....with a good helping of banter thrown in for good measure.
