Another Dellorto DRLA - Bellcrank Linkage type thread...

  1. Not binned yet.. trying to get at all the bits easily....moving the lot to the front seems to be the only way to that at the mo but will need a bracket for the centre mount too then...

  2. for a few quid I may have the bits you need to still use the adjustment screws ... or I may not I would have to check .. I did also nearly finish a cable linkage like the Sync system but abandoned it a few years ago .

  3. Would it be front or back of carbs? Going back into the dungeon to review options again shortly. If better adjustment but more difficult to get to is the only way then I might have to accept it..

  4. Mine don't ;)

  5. Surely having the levers and the adjusters on the same end is how it's supposed to be?

  6. Yeah.... but they're at the difficult end.....if you want fine adjustment....

  7. Other folk use the CSP on type 4s. Are you saying the bellcrank thing's the wrong way round if you mount everything at the "easy" end? Not griping, just a bit confused about what the prob is.

  8. Type 4 CSP bolts onto the crankcase at the back end so linkage rods connect at the back where it's hard to see throttle stop. I can move the stop to the other end if the carb but fine adjustment screw needs to work off the arm connected to the linkage and that doesn't work angled to the front..

I think most ditch the fine adjustment (that's the double lever bit you mentioned earlier), and just use the rods to do that but that's harder......

  9. ... so if I drill out the CSP egg shaped to fit the shaft dill and fix it to the old throttle arm ( and loose the old ball connector...) I'll have an adjustable linkage.. but at the back..

Unless I fabricate a bracket to hold thel pivot point level with the front of the carbs and swap ends..[IMG]
